I am Luna Ersahin, and this is my band AySay, which is a reflection of who I am—a curious spirit expressed through lyrics, song, and the saz. Together with my bandmates, we’ve created an open universe for bridge-building music, a shared platform where Middle Eastern journeys meet Nordic landscapes.

With Aske Døssing Bendixen on analog and digital percussion and Carl West Hosbond on guitar, our pop arrangements weave modern folk narratives. Just as traditional folk music grows from the deep connection between musicians and their communities, AySay embraces the whole world as our foundation, our source of inspiration, and our audience. Artistically, we draw from a diverse palette, inspired by the likes of Altin Gün, Aynur Doğan, Denmark’s Sorten Muld, and the dreamy soundscapes of Sigur Rós.

As someone who grew up navigating multiple cultures, my story shines through in AySay’s multilingual lyrics and messages. Our music is vulnerable and powerful, yet often charming and uplifting. With AySay, we create not only a refuge but also an uplifting protest—a way to challenge the narrow definitions and limiting assumptions about heritage and identity that the world so often imposes.
